Quality Architect II
Fondo

I was first involved with QA as a beta tester of the game DOTA in 2006. Since then, I have worked as a .NET Developer, HelpDesk Operator, Application Tester, Test Automation Engineer, Project Coordinator and Delivery Manager. Currently as a Quality Architect my main responsibility is kick-starting new projects or fixing existing ones.

I have an extensive knowledge of testing practices, test automation tools and approaches for building better frameworks. I invented the Tri-Layer Testing Architecture, and the Flow Model Pattern approaches specifically to test automation design. The former invention was published as a white paper in the PNSQC 2022 Proceedings: The Evolution of Quality book on Amazon, and is available to read free on the PNSQC website.

I have a combined 8 years’ experience as a leader and manager, having led testing teams, managed test automation work, and coordinated multiple scrum teams at the same time. I founded and ran a tournament organizing group called the WDC. We organized online gaming tournaments for more than a thousand players in Europe and around the world. I was one of the official leaders of a gaming website with more than a million daily unique visitors.

At EPAM, I have conducted more than 200 technical and manager interviews with both local and offshore people. I conducted more than 100 promotional assessment sessions, most of the time as a committee head, responsible for the final decision. I made contributions to developing the global company career paths of test automation engineers, and test automation solution architects.

Since becoming a consultant, I regularly work together with company executives, middle managers, and development teams. I am best known for quickly building up relationships within an organization that I join, and identifying areas where my skills and experience can be best leveraged.

I am an author and reviewer of ISTQB syllabi. I have spoken at conferences such as STARWEST, STAREAST, Agile DevOps West & East and SauceCon. I regularly hold tutorials on some of those conferences. I have been a review committee member of HUSTEF since 2015. I used to be a guest lecturer at 3 Budapest based universities between 2014-2019. I have a Bachelor of Science in IT Engineering, having graduated from the University of Óbuda, in Hungary.

Outside of work, I mostly spend my time with my wife and daughter. We love to go to parks, hiking trails and travel around the US. My hobbies include brewing beers, playing computer and board games, doing sports (karate, dancing, running), and watching boxing and MMA events.
