Claudia Badell

I’m passionate about building and fostering a whole-team approach towards testing and quality. I hold a degree in Computer Engineering and have 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Currently, I work as a Quality Strategy Expert at QAdrive, helping teams and organizations assess and elevate their testing maturity through tailored strategies that align quality practices with business goals. I’m also a Master Trainer for the Holistic Testing: Strategies for Agile Teams course created by Janet Gregory and Lisa Crispin at Agile Testing Fellowship.

In recent years, I’ve played a key role in helping teams and organizations optimize their testing and quality processes, leading risk-based strategies and driving the adoption of test automation across all layers of the solution throughout the development cycle.

During my professional journey, I’ve worked with different technologies and methodologies, in roles such as Product Owner, Product Development Team Lead, Test Manager, Senior Quality Engineer, Tester, and Business Analyst; always evangelizing a testing and quality mindset within the team. I also taught testing and programming courses for nearly seven years in the Computer Science Department at the School of Engineering, Universidad de la República.

I’m also a renowned speaker who strongly believes in the power of sharing knowledge and the positive impact it can have on individuals, communities, and the industry. I co-founded and co-organized TestingUy from 2014 to 2024, a pioneering software testing conference in Latin America. Additionally, I contributed to the Agile Testing Condensed book by Janet Gregory and Lisa Crispin, writing the “Fascinating Path of Evolving as Testers” section in Chapter 11, and I also translated the book into Spanish.
